Description: Everyone is fed up of Harry bullying Lara and Tess notices that it is affecting the efficiency of the whole department. Tess suggests Lara should make it official, but Lara says she will try to talk to him. Lara then confronts Harry about his endless sniping and snide comments that contain veiled reference to her professionalism. In the showdown that follows, she accuses him of being vindictive and warns that he will be reported by Tess if matters are not resolved. He is broken and admits that he just wants them to be close again.

Description: Bex has lost her makeup bag and thinks someone must have stolen it from her car. She talks to a Colin Evans from security and asks him to look at the CCTV tapes, but he thinks it is far too much work, especially since it is only makeup and Bex not even is sure it was stolen from the car, because she had not locked the car. He says that there is a whole box full of tapes and it would take him all day to look though all of them. Bex is slowly getting annoyed and simply takes the box from him and walks away with it, planning to watch them herself. All day she is watching the tapes while working, but instead of finding out what happened to her makeup bag she finds something more interesting – one of the CCTV tape shows Luke and Lara’s intimate relations on hospital property. Bex gathers everyone in the staff room and puts the tape on, but as they are watching it Lara walks into the staff room, shocked to find out they had been taped. Lara tells Luke about it, but he seems to think it is quite funny and simply says that Bex must be short of money and probably was selling tickets to everyone. At the end of the day Colin gets the tape back and takes it to Harry, saying that he should watch it. Harry has a word with Lara and angry, he accuses Lara of breaching her contract. Though embarrassed, Lara plays the jealousy card and judging from Harry’s reaction, she seems not to have been far from the truth.

Description: Baz drives Charlie into work and they are obviously in love once again.They kiss each other in the car before Charlie walks into work and when he gets there he is obviously in a good mood, whistling to himself. It is Nikki’s hen night and the girls dress up as characters from the movies. Charlie instructs his “angels” to give Nikki a memorable send-off, and everyone lets their hair down.

Description: Comfort is feeling bleak with Christmas looming and has no reason to celebrate. Fin cannot bear to see her so despondent and comes up with a plan to cheer her up. When Nikki comes into work Jim gives her a gift. The huge chocolate box, however, proves to be a present from Andy, who according to Jim wants to apologise for ruining their weekend away. A hungover Claire, on the other hand, is not having her best day. She ends up administering the wrong drugs to a patient when Harry messes up the notes and she feels that she unfairly gets all the blame for it.

Description: Following the shock news that she is diabetic, Bex is distraught. She refuses to answer the door when Luke, concerned that she has not received any insulin, comes to check on her. Nikki and Jim decide to ditch the staff party in favour of a cosy weekend at his remote country house. But their ideas of romantic, candlelit evenings are ruined when Andy turns up, determined to finish what he and Nikki started.

Description: Bex arrives late, looking pale and lank. Tally tries to have a word with her, telling Bex that she has been late every day and looks horrible, so obviously something is wrong with her. Bex, however, does not want to talk about it and when Luke overhears the conversation she shouts at both of them before storming off. Andy comes to the hospital to ask Jim for some money. At the same time he gets a chance to apologise to Nikki for his earlier behaviour but then makes a play for her. The attraction appears to be mutual and they kiss until she pulls away, thinking he is trying to prove a point and ruin things.

Description:What starts out as an intimate 40th birthday meal for Jim turns into a surprise engagement party for Nikki. However, she is shocked when she arrives at the restaurant to be faced with his ex-wife, Elizabeth. Harry takes Lara out to lunch to confess he is in love with her, but she turns him down, saying she cares about him only as a friend. Harry, however, seems to have trouble dealing with this. Bex still has a tremendous thirst she cannot satisfy and she looks terrible. After one too many visits to the ladies’ she breaks down, feeling she can no longer keep it together. A concerned Tally asks Bex about it and says she cannot cope on her own with Bex constantly being away from reception. Later Tally asks Harry to take a look at her but it only makes matters worse and Bex storms off home.

Description: A pleasant surprise awaits Jim when Harry offers him the position of paediatric specialist. Jim, later, is in an ecstatic mood when he after a lot of searching finds Nikki, who finally accepts his proposal after a heart-to-heart with Josh. Tally, however, is less fortunate in the love department. Though she has tirelessly tried to win Simon back, he cruelly announces that they are over. Tally storms out of the hospital and Harry follows. Harry says that Simon is so very wrong for her, but Tally says that she does not care and that she still wants him, however badly he has treated her. Harry’s luck is not much better – Lara admits his flirtatious behaviour has made her feel uncomfortable and is not interested in anything more than friendship. Harry agrees that he does not want their friendship to be ruined, but he looks quite disappointed.

Description: Meanwhile, Lara encourages Harry to admit to his doctor that he cannot cope without the drug therapy. She suggests he destroy the doctored records and then she threatens Simon. He infuriates her by insinuating that she fancies Harry and she slaps him; later, Tally pours a bed pan all over Simon when she finds out what he has been doing. She backtracks but Simon declares that they are finished. At the launch, Harry picks up the wrong signals and attempts to kiss Lara. After seeking advice from Harry, Jim tracks Nikki down into the ladies’ toilets and, on bended knee, proposes.

Description: Harry is late for work and, driving in a rush, fails to see a cyclist travelling at speed around the corner. The cyclist crashes straight into Harry’s rental car and rebounds off the bonnet. Simon adds to Harry’s grief when he arrives with the new Rapid Response Team. Battle continues in resus as he passes veiled messages to Harry about weakness of character. Lara is nobody’s fool and, realising that something is going on, talks to Harry about his decision to switch her shift with Simon. She refers to the tense atmosphere and Harry falls apart, admitting everything and confessing he needs help. Broken and in tears, he accepts Lara’s support and advice.

Fuming, Harry tries to throw him out until Simon threatens to uncover his secret unless they discuss his career options.

Description: When Keith arrives Claire doesn’t want to see him, but on being told her father has been rushed to another hospital, she reluctantly gives Keith a lift. When a young guy, Andy, brings his best friend into the department after a reckless rooftop racing session, Nikki is flattered by his persistent advances. She is later surprised and hurt when she discovers Andy is in fact Jim’s son. He also admits to having a daughter. Angry that Jim would withhold such important information, Nikki breaks up with him. While in Harry’s office, Tally accidentally discovers the drugs in his pocket but he interrupts her and uses the opportunity to divulge information regarding Simon’s past. She is furious when he suggests Simon is only with her to get back at him but, feeling insecure, she asks Simon about it. Simon confronts Harry and tells him to deal with it.

Elsewhere, Lara persuades Harry to join her in enjoying the bottle of red wine he gave her and the pair wind down together in mutual admiration.

But his doctor is not convinced and only agrees to reduce the dosage.

Description: Back at the site, the tunnel has collapsed, trapping Comfort and the school children. Several children and the teacher have died and Comfort struggles to reassure those who remain alive. Comfort manages to signal for help but the pressure gets to her when she fails to revive yet another child. Fin watched anxiously and eventually breaks through the debris to reach her. Tess has been waiting for news of her fire chief husband, Mike, but is not reassured by his call confessing that, as a fire chief, he feels responsible for the death of his colleagues.
